RONALDO:I'M FIT NOW AND I'LL BE BACK SOON

Cristiano ronaldo says he has
recovered from the hamstring injury which saw him sidelined for Real Madrid's last two fixtures.

The Portuguese star missed out on los Blancos fixtures against Galatasaray and Real Valladolid after seeing his impressive
goalscoring form halted by a hamstring complaint. However, he is now back at full fitness and ready to continue with what has been a superb year.

"I've no injury. I've been fine for a
couple of days now. We decided not to push it in the last game but I'll be available for the next game for certain," he commented at an awards ceremony in Spain.
Ronaldo will have to wait a little longer to make his return though, as he is suspended for Madrid's next match, a Copa del Rey clash with Olimpic Xativa, because he was sent off in the final of last
year's competition.

Despite some scintillating performances, Madrid find themselves in third spot in the La Liga table, behind Barcelona and
table-topping Atletico Madrid. While the form of Atletico has been
unexpected for some, Ronaldo believes that it is no fluke that the Rojiblancos lead the way at present - but he is confident that Madrid will triumph in the end.

"I'm not surprised by Atletico, I thought they looked very strong last season," he said.
"They are very well organised, have a great coach, a very good goalkeeper... they're going to be fighting for the title and they are a strong candidate. We'll see what happens at the end but I'm
convinced Madrid are going to win it.
"Madrid look very strong to me. We're getting better, improving little by little and we're doing well," he added.
"I want to be able to help the team, so what we are doing well until the end of the season, which is when the titles are won."
