Tottenham have been placed on
red alert amid suggestions Inter
Milan will loan out Alvaro Pereira.
Andre Villas-Boas has long been
linked with a reunion with the
Uruguayan, who played a prominent
role under him as Porto claimed a
domestic and European treble in
2010/11.
Villas-Boas was tipped to bring him
to Stamford Bridge during his ill-
fated spell in charge of Chelsea and
the Portuguese could revive his
interest in the 27-year-old at White
Hart Lane.
The Spurs boss has just one specialist
left-back, Danny Rose, in his senior
squad and is expected to hunt for a
new full-back in January.
And he could now move for Pereira,
who has managed just two league
starts at Inter this term.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim Inter will
let the defender leave on loan as he
is keen to secure regular first-team
football ahead of next summer's
World Cup.
