Bruce Grobbelaar believes Liverpool are capable of winning the Premier League title this season.
The Reds are currently second in the table after an impressive start to the season, including a 4-0 victory over Fulham in their most recent top-flight outing last weekend.
Brendan Rodgers ’ men aren’t involved in Europe this term, whilst the Reds were knocked out of the Capital One Cup following a 1-0 loss to Manchester United in September.
But former Liverpool goalkeeper
Grobbelaar believes the Reds can still get their hands on some silverware this season.
“I think we have a great squad with
quality players that can take the club to greater heights. I believe we have what it takes to at least win one of the trophies,”
Grobbelaar told Goal .
“We cannot be an average club. When I used to play, the manager would tell us that you are as good as your last performance. That made all the players more hungry to finish strong.
“Anything is possible if we keep our focus and continue to show the work ethic we are showing now. I believe we have what it takes to compete in the Champions
League .”
