ROBIN VAN PERSIE OUT FOR A MONTH WITH THIGH STRAIN!

DAVID MOYES'S problems have gone from bad to worse following the news Robin Van Persie has been ruled out for a month.

Manchester United striker Van Persie has suffered a thigh strain and will be sidelined for four weeks. The Holland hitman will now miss the busy Christmas and New Year festive programme. Van Persie will be forced to sit out games against Aston Villa, Stoke, West Ham, Hull, Norwich, Tottenham and Swansea. The news is a huge blow to Moyes, who is
facing mounting problems at Old
Trafford. Moyes is feeling the heat following United's woeful Premier League campaign so far.

The champions have slumped to ninth in the table following back-to-back home league defeats for the first time since 2002.United have lost five league games in total this season and trail leaders Arsenal
by 13 points. The gap could be extended to 16 points before United travel to Villa tomorrow if
the Gunners beat Manchester City this lunchtime.

Moyes said: "Robin has picked up a thigh strain and will be out for a month.
"He took the corner we scored the goal from against Shakhtar (in the Champions League midweek)and felt his thigh.
"So we're going to lose Robin, it looks like, for a month, with a thigh strain."
