Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas was delighted with the win after watching his team beat Sunder 2-1 at the Stadium of Light.
That makes it two wins in a week for the Spurs boss who is looking to rebuild after suffering a devastating loss to Manchester City two weeks ago.
With the draw at Manchester United last weekend and the win against Fulham in midweek that means Spurs are now unbeaten in three games.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Villas-Boas said: "It was a great win, we were outstanding. It could have been one of those situations where we were left to rue our missed chances but it wasn't.
"We were unlucky to go one goal behind, the win is entirely deserved and it puts us back in a good position in the league.
"We had to work hard to achieve the win but it is a great week for Tottenham and a great fight back from the City defeat. We have had two away games and two wins."
