WE'LL RE-INVEST IN SQUAD COME JANUARY - UNITED COACH,PHIL NEVILLE

Manchester United coach Phil Neville admits that they need squad investment in the next transfer window to maintain
their challenge for the title this season.

David Moyes’ men have had a stuttering start to the campaign but recovered with a string of victories in recent weeks, and
Neville believes they need new signings to continue their momentum.

“In the transfer window early on in the season we were looking for players, that was well documented and that search continues,” Neville said.
“We need to keep reinvesting in the
squad because if you stand still in this league you get left behind,as Manchester City found out last season when they didn’t strengthen as much and they
ended up losing the league [title].”

The former Manchester United and
Everton midfielder also pinpointed their defeat to Steve Clarke’s West Bromwich Albion as the turning point in their season so far.

“Defeat by West Brom was a real wake- up call for the players and manager,”
Neville added. “The players are beginning to trust the manager and his philosophy and I think you saw that against Arsenal.
“It was always going to take a bit of time after one man had controlled the club for so long. There was always going to be a transition period.”

Manchester United have enjoyed some good form of late with three wins on the trot in the Premier League with Robin van Persie on song – the Dutchman has three
goals and two assists in his last three games.
