Patrick viera has admitted Manchester City made a mistake not trying to sign paul pogba when the midfielder quit Manchester United .
The 20-year-old has been one of Juve’s standout performers this season after scoring four goals in 12 Serie A appearances, taking his tally to 10 strikes in all competitions since moving to
Turin.
Pogba moved to La Vecchia Signora from the Premier League champions in 2012 after opting against penning a new Red Devils deal due to a lack of first-team football.
And Vieira, who is currently in charge of City’s Elite Development squad, conceded the Citizens should have made a move for the “extraordinary” talent.
“He’s a player I really like,” Vieira is quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News.
“I saw him play for Manchester United and to not have signed
him when he left that club was a mistake because he is an
extraordinary player.
“Many tell me that [he plays like I do]. I think he is more attacking than me and perhaps more technically skilled.”
