JUAN MATA SET TO GO ON LOAN COME JANUARY

Juan Mata to leave on loan to secure
his place in Spain's World Cup squad...
Chelsea's Spanish playmaker Juan Mata
could leave on loan in January, with
Atletico Madrid and Juventus among a
host of interested clubs, reports the
Mirror.
The 25-year-old has fallen out of favour
under Jose Mourinho, and regularly sits
on the bench behind Brazilian playmaker
Oscar, who is the Portuguese boss's first-
choice no.10.
So far this season, Mata has only made
five Premier League starts, despite the
fact that he's won Chelsea's Player of the
Year award for the past two seasons.
In order to secure his place in Spain's
World Cup squad next summer, the
midfielder unsurprisingly wants to leave
on loan in January, after accepting it's
going to be very difficult for him to force
his way into Mourinho's first-team plans.
Of course, many of Europe's elite clubs
are interested in the playmaker's
services. Either Juventus or Atletico
Madrid are expected to make an
aggressive bid in January, as it is
extremely unlikely Chelsea would
consider lending Mata to a fellow Premier
League club. Liverpool, Arsenal and
Manchester United were reportedly
interested during the summer, but with
the title race very much on, it would be
very foolish the Blues to strengthen one
of their rivals.
