McLean joins Birmingham
on loan
Hull City striker Aaron McLean has
signed for Birmingham City on loan
until January, he has confirmed
through his official Twitter
account.
McLean, 30, spent part of last season
on loan at Ipswich Town as his
parent club sealed promotion to the
Premier League and, having only
made one appearance so far this
campaign, the former Peterborough
United man has gone out on loan in
search of regular first team football.
The striker wrote on his official
Twitter account, "Just signed on loan
at Birmingham City till Jan.. Looking
forward to it. Can't wait to get started
#BCFC."
McLean revealed earlier this month
that he would consider a loan move
away from the KC Stadium after
finding his chances few and far
between.
He told the Hull Daily Mail, "If the club wanted to loan me out, then it
would be something I would
consider.
"But first I need to work hard for
myself and be in the best condition.
I'll have a look in the next few weeks
and I'll speak to the management and
find out if that is something they are
looking at.
"First and foremost I want to get into
the first team squad and play Premier
League football. That's always been
my goal and hasn't changed. All I can
do is work hard in any game where
I'm given an opportunity."
