ANDROS TOWNSEND WANTS TO EMULATE UNITED LEGEND,RYAN GIGGS.

Townsend has revealed he would like to emulate Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.

Townsend has impressed with his displays for Spurs this season and earned himself a call-up to the England national team. The 22-year-old was in excellent form for
the Three Lions in their recent World Cup.qualifying matches against Montenegro and Poland and helped his country secure
their place at the finals in Brazil next summer.

The Spurs winger has now admitted his goal was to be like Old Trafford veteran Ryan Giggs.
He told The Evening Standard: "I’ve
always liked watching Ryan Giggs. When playing wide he liked to dribble, make things happen, get crosses in and score goals, so he was my main inspiration.

“Growing up, I was lucky to be in squads with players like [Gareth] Bale and [Aaron] Lennon. They’re old-fashioned wingers and players I want to be like, so even when I was left out of the matchday squad, I got to watch them and it was
great for me to learn from them.
“When I was given the chance, I tried to take what I saw in their games and add it to mine, when I was playing in the Under-21s or when I was on loan. While
it was a negative not playing, it as a plus point to watch such good wingers and learn from them.”

“I have to keep doing what I’m doing and hopefully one day I can be there with the likes of Gareth Bale.”
