Manchester united boss,david moyes is delighted at the performance of the england international.Rooney who has been
in fine form this season continued that form during yesterday's uefa champions league clash with real sociedad ensuring he had a hand in united's only goal,the only goal in.the game (an own goal by the other team anyway).
"He was absolutely magnificent tonight,"
Moyes told Sky Sports. "The players are doing really well.
"We just want a top player like Wayne to
play well and he is playing well. I’m
repeating myself but I’ve been saying it since day one. He’s been playing well and training great.
"We trained him hard and I think England
are seeing the benefit of that as well. We need to see it all the time. That’s what.the fans want to see."
United failed to extend their lead despite
dominating possession, leading to a nervy
second period, but Moyes felt his
side's performance had merited
more commanding scoreline.
"[It was a] good job," Moyes continued.
"Good performance. We could have
scored more and should have
done.We could have scored five or six today and it wouldn’t have been out of place.
