The Premier League’s top two meet in north London this weekend, with Arsenal hosting Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have been the form side this season, showing immaculate attacking football in their march to the table’s
summit.
Liverpool have also shown that they need to be taken seriously this term, and are seemingly ready to challenge for a berth back in the top four once more. Both sides recorded victories in their last
outings, with Arsene Wenger’s men
winning at Crystal Palace and the Reds triumphing 4-1 against West Brom at Anfield.
Following Liverpool’s impressive
performance against the Baggies, many are predicting a close encounter against Arsenal.
Jordan henderson has been a key man in Brendan Rodgers’ side, putting in solid early season performances, and has stated that Liverpool want to show the rest of England what they are capable of on Saturday.
"Confidence is very high at the minute," Henderson told the club's official website.
"They're all tough games in the Premierl eague and Arsenal have been flying of late. But so have we, so I think it will be a good game to watch and hopefully we can get a good result.
"It would send out a message to the rest of the teams that we're here and we mean business. But I think the main focus is going there and playing like we have been."
The middle battle that Henderson will be included in could well be a key element to deciding the eventual winners. He will most likely partner Steven Gerrard in the heart of the visitors’ side, and should be confident of getting the upper hand.
With Mikel Arteta suspended and Mathieu Flamini injured, the Liverpool pair will look to get the better of Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey, in what should be an enthralling match-up.
