CAPITAL ONE CUP:CITY AND SPURS PROGRESS

Manchester city had to wait till extra time against alan pardew's men to record a 2-0 victory.Alvaro negredo and edin dzeko ensured city didnt have to reach the shoot-out before progressing to the quarter finals of the competition.
